Marianne Radnitzky is a full-time artist from New York and currently based in Boston, Massachusetts. She has a background in painting and fashion design.
Primarily (and preferably) a street vendor in the city, she works out of a home studio creating feminine portraits with acrylic paint and paint marker on wood panel. She sells prints of her work downtown from her customized bike trailer throughout the majority of the year, but does various art markets in the New England area and has prints and other works in a small number of store locations.
Works feature a large number of self portraits and emotional self-portraits which incorporate influences in fashion, art, film and other aesthetics anywhere from 1890-1980. With an emphasis on heavy patterns, bold colors and a range of moods, these works build a visually striking world which is meant to connect with the viewer and please the eye as well as the maximalist mind.
Marianne has done group gallery shows with the Cambridge Multicultural Arts Center and the Blue Triangle Gallery, shown works at JP Licks (Harvard Sq MA), Notes Coffee Co (RI) and Village Art Cafe (NH). She has designed numerous flyers for various art and vintage markets in the Boston area as well as a seasonal design for Pavement Coffee.
She currently has art prints, original wood panels and her personal vintage (pieces collected over the last 25 years) available at Esten Ave Vintage in Pawtucket, RI. Prints are also available at 3S Artspace in Portsmouth, NH.
